New Zealand back-row forward Luke Jacobson has been ruled from the World Cup due to concussion.
Jacobson played against Tonga a week and went with the squad for the championship in Japan, but the All Blacks stated the 22-year-old had endured a”delayed start of concussion”.
New Zealand Coach Steve Hansen stated the participant showed symptoms this week.
Shannon Frizell will, replaces jacobson, with two caps.
“After discussing this most recent episode with Luke, as well as our healthcare staff, the decision was made to, sadly, draw him from the championship,” Hansen informed the All Blacks web site.
“We all felt the ideal thing for him to do would be to have a break from rugby until he’s symptom-free and ready to return.”
